Google has introduced a new feature for the Google Play Store called “Collections.” While I won’t dive into the details, you can check out all the information about this feature in an article from Ziropanel Blog. Currently, the feature is only available for users in the United States, but Google has plans to roll it out to other regions in the future.
However, knowing Google, that rollout could take months. If you have a rooted phone, there’s a way to enable this feature now, even if you’re outside the US. Two members from my Telegram group have tested this method, and it worked for them. That said, I can’t guarantee it will work for everyone.
In this post, I’ll share the tools and steps required to enable the feature.
How to Enable Collections feature of Play Store
1. Open app manager, search for play store and open “activites” tab, then type “cube” and a Collections activity will show up.
2. Long press the toggle which you in the right of the activity and select “enable”. This will make the activity launch-able. If it’s still stays grayed out then tap on three dots on top right and “apply rules”.
3. It should be enabled now and you can launch the collection activity to start the onboarding process.
4. In order to enable the Collections widget, tap on the Receiver tab and search for “cube”. You will see two results and enable them using same step which we did for enabling activity. You will start seeing the “collections” widgets in widget picker now which you can place on home screen.
