The latest update of Google Chrome on iOS allows iPhone users to search for both images and text simultaneously.
Google has added several new features to the iOS version of Chrome. Now, Chrome users on iOS can search for both images and text at the same time.
Previously, iOS users had to rely on the Google Lens app for image search. However, with the new update, this feature is now directly available within the Chrome browser. In addition to searching for images, users can also add text queries to their search.
Google says the new feature in Chrome enables users to perform more complex and customized searches. For example, users can upload or take a photo of a green dress and add the word “purple” to ask the search engine to find a similar product in the desired color. By uploading a picture of a rosemary plant and adding the phrase “care instructions,” users can get the necessary information on how to care for the plant.
On the other hand, Apple is also working on adding its own intelligent search tool, called Visual Intelligence, to the iPhone 16 series. Visual Intelligence allows for image search combined with text recognition.
According to Google, users can now free up device storage by directly saving files and images from the web to Google Drive and Photos through the Chrome browser on iOS. By simply selecting the “Google Drive” option when saving a file, users can store their desired content in a folder called “Saved from Chrome.”
For U.S. users, Google has also added another feature to Chrome on iOS called *Shopping Insights*, which provides options like price history and product recommendations for online shopping.
