Tasks | ChatGPT new feature
OpenAI is working on a new feature for ChatGPT called “Tasks.” This feature allows users to schedule specific commands to be executed by the chatbot at a later time. Users will be able to schedule tasks for up to two years, and these tasks can be recurring. For instance, you can instruct ChatGPT to send you daily updates on artificial intelligence news at a particular time. This feature, which Google is also developing for Gemini, is expected to be introduced soon.
The mentioned feature, codenamed Jawbone, has been in development by OpenAI for quite some time. According to videos shared on social media, this feature will have its own dedicated interface, allowing users to view, stop, delete, or edit their scheduled tasks.
To schedule a new command, users can simply inform ChatGPT of it through a prompt.

In addition, a new tab called Notifications will be added to the ChatGPT settings, where users will likely be able to customize how they receive notifications related to their scheduled tasks.
Google also seems to be developing a similar feature for its Gemini AI, currently referred to as Scheduled Prompts. This feature is still under development, and it appears that Google is preparing to launch it by the end of December.
