Chatbot Grak on X Now Equipped with New AI Image Generator Aurora

The Grak chatbot on X has recently been upgraded with the new Aurora AI image generator, which enhances its capabilities. This new image generator allows Grak to produce more realistic photos compared to its previous model.

With this integration, users can expect higher-quality and lifelike images, adding more value to the chatbot’s ability to generate visual content on demand. The inclusion of Aurora represents a significant step forward in AI-driven image creation.

X Adds New AI Image Generation Model “Aurora” to Its Grok Assistant

X has recently integrated a new AI image generation model called Aurora into its Grok assistant. Compared to the previous image generator available in Grok, Aurora can produce more realistic images and has fewer limitations on the types of content it can generate.

According to reports by TechCrunch, Aurora, like Grok, is available to all users. You can access this new image generation model via the “Grok 2 + Aurora beta” option in the Grok model selection section.

Chris Park Announces the Release of Aurora Image Generator Model for Grok on X

Chris Park, an employee at X, recently announced the launch of the new Aurora image generation model in a post. He referenced Sam Altman’s statement that OpenAI would be making exciting announcements on Monday and humorously added:

“xAI doesn’t need to wait until Monday… Congratulations to xAI for releasing the new Aurora image generation model! Now available in the X app’s model selection section: Grok 2 + Aurora. Oh, and by the way, Grok 3 is coming soon!”

TechCrunch also reports that this new model can generate images of well-known characters under copyright, such as Mickey Mouse and a bloody Donald Trump, though it cannot be used to generate explicit or nude content.

One X user has already tested the Aurora model and created remarkably realistic images of American actors Ray Romano and Adam Sandler using the new AI image generator.

Aurora Image Generator Released Alongside Free Access to Grok on X

The release of the Aurora image generation model comes shortly after X made Grok freely accessible to all users. Previously, users were required to purchase a monthly $8 subscription to access Grok, but with the new update, Grok is now available for free.

With the free version of Grok, users can send up to 10 messages every 2 hours and analyze up to 3 images daily using the tool. This move makes Grok more accessible and allows users to leverage the new Aurora model without a paid subscription (Grok is now free for all X users)
